We know with Christmas season in full swing the last thing you are thinking about is your student’s summer schedule! But believe it or not many summer programs have open registration as early as January and February so this is the perfect time to weigh options.
STEM (science, technology, engineering, math) summer programs are especially competitive to get into because there are fewer programs available although they are widely popular for college bound kids. If STEM programs are not on your radar it should be. Your student will be required to take at least one STEM class as part of their core curriculum as an incoming freshman maybe even two or three. Also, showing an interest in STEM opportunities on a college resume looks stellar.
Here is our round-up of top STEM summer opportunities by region.
