Who We Are
Led by college admissions expert and Founder and Chief Education Officer Shereem Herndon-Brown, Strategic Admissions Advice is the leading college counseling and consulting firm specializing in helping public and charter schools' college offices assist their students in getting into college. Shereem is a highly respected authority in the field of college admissions, particularly in the area of college access and success for underrepresented students.
He is the co-author of The Black Family’s Guide to College Admissions: A Conversation About Education, Parenting and Race. He has a wealth of experience making significant contributions to improving college outcomes for students from diverse backgrounds.
He understands that the college admissions process can be unfair and inequitable and has dedicated his career to leveling the playing field for underrepresented students.
As a professional development consultant for schools, he and his team have worked with schools such as Promise Academy in Harlem, NYC, American Dream School, and KIPP Atlanta.
Shereem has served as the Board Chair of La Cima Elementary Charter School in his native Brooklyn, New York.
